Horseradish potato gratin

Ingredients:

– 5 dl heavy cream

– 2 cloves of garlic

– 1 red onion

– 15 dkg butter

– 2 tbsp. Tormaricum horseradish cream

– 1.5 kg potatoes

– 250g gruyere or mozzarella cheese

– 2 tsp. fresh thyme

– salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Slice the potatoes into thin slices and mix with the thinly sliced ​​red onion. In a saucepan, cook the cream with half the cheese, grated garlic, salt, pepper and thyme. Mix the spicy cream with the potato and onion slices, then spread evenly in a thickly buttered ovenproof dish. Dice the remaining butter on top, sprinkle with the other half of the cheese and bake at 170 degrees for an hour until the top is a nice golden brown.
